Welcome to the kennel Limebrook's webpage! The main characters of this site are naturally our Lancashire Heelers. Below short info on me and my family:

About me

I came in contact with dogs when I was a little baby while my grandmother and my grandfather always had more than one dog at home. Most of them were Lappish Vallhunds used for herding their reindeer but left you can see me together with a Karelsk Björnhund (breed just for hunting bears etc):

My first dog

My first dog was called Tusse and him and me tried almost everything together. As you can see he had a long coat and I had to spend quite some time on grooming his coat.

Other dogs
After that I have had German Shepherds (my lovely Sophia who had a litter for her breeder) and of course Mischa seen here to the right as a pup. I also managed to have Sophies brother, Skiidoo, approved as an army dog when we took the test. Those were the days! Sophie and I competed in tracking, never scored much but we had great fun!

After that I had rough collies. The bitch to the left is my Dixie, she managed to gain the title Korad which was a big temperament test. Me and Dixie competed in working trials, tracking.

This was in the 80s.

The collie to the left is my Amos as a pup, a very nice male that I owned and showed.

...after that I had a Rottweiler and she came to have a few litters of puppies, not in my kennelname though. (photo from 1994)

...and why not try something completely different to Working dogs, namely a standard poodle! Dexter had several CC:s and he also sired quite a few litters. I learned a bit about grooming when I had him.

Dexter did not always behave like a show dog!

Finally we got ourselves a Lancashire Heeler. No grooming and what a lovely breed!

This is a photo of our family from the 90s when the children were still small.

My husband and I both work in the field of education whereas our children are both in school. Our daughter goes to school, gymnasium, her second year. She studies business and commerce. Our son is in his third year at the gymnasium, he studies computers and IT.
I have been occupied with lots of things concerning dogs. I am a certified instructor of obedience and also an authorized steward for dogshows. I have been participating in shows and obedience competitions ever since the early 70s. At present I am also the Chairperson of the Swedish Lancashire Heeler Club. I am also on the committee of the regional kennel club.

We have had Colliedogs, German Shepherds, a Rottweiler and a Standard Poodle before we finally fell in love with this lovely breed, the Lancashire Heeler.
We live just outside Umeå, together with our two horses and our dogs. In our spare time we go horseback riding and go for long walks with our dogs. Mattias is our webmaster and Emma does a lot of work with the horses and the dogs.
